Dommage...

Talk about it being forever since I've posted.
I'll just update on a few things:

Kalie and I started going out on Homecoming.
However, I never truly understood my feelings for her and eventually decided that breaking up would be best. So, we kind of broke up with each other- me leading the conversation in that direction, her being the one to suggest breaking up -this past Thursday night.

We're still planning on moving, people have been coming to check out the house often enough. It sucks, but I finally decided that I don't care anymore. I have too much to deal with right now without having to worry about moving. When the time comes that I'm actually moving out of my house, then I can start moping and stressing about it.

Jeremy got out of jail and has been a parasite in the house ever since. I'm considering demanding that he leaves: I'm sick of his presence, his attitude and his laziness. Not even I sleep from twelve at night to three in the afternoon each and every fucking day. That's not just because of school, either. Given the choice, I'd still not sleep in that late. xD He supposedly got a job while mum and I were at my aunt's for Thanksgiving, but he, being the stupid little fucker he is, never went to the job. Needless to say, his reputation for jobs is already trashed, but now he's further made it worse and it just pisses me off more.

I got my PS3 now, which is hooked up by a special cord to my TV (which is my computer monitor, also) so now I can go on the computer, play PS3 or watch some of the basic cable channels in my room and see Jeremy's face less than usual, unless he comes up to harass me.

Leah, since a few days after homecoming, has been going out with Aidan, rather than Richard. Aidan's nice, but he better tread carefully. I approve of him well enough, but if he and Leah go too far as she did with Richard, I won't be happy with either of them. At all.

Other than that, school's been doing good and other crap, which I need not say, has been going on.

Oh La La!

Damn, I haven't updated for a long time!
School has been keeping everybody insanely busy with homework and projects. I think there needs to be more hours in the day! xD
Anyway, other than me moving soon, everything has been the same for the most part.
Yes, I am moving. We have the house in the markets and have finally started to pack up a few things. It's terribly depressing, really. I've been acting like it hasn't gotten to me, but I am sad about having to leave this house. I have been here for all of my life, after all. Moving is a big change. Not to mention we're not sure where we are going to move yet; but, we have plenty of time to find out. No one has made a solid offer on the house has of yet.
Other than that, this past week at school was kind of like a spirit week. Here was what we were supposed to wear:
Monday: Tacky Tourist Day.
Tuesday: Belt-Buckle Day.
Wednesday: Cowboy/girl Day.
Thursday: Wrangler Jeans Day.
Friday: Red Out Day (Wear the school color.)

I participated on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Otherwise I didn't really feel like doing the other two days. Although, I did forget that Monday was Tacky Tourist Day. xD
Today was the Tailgate thingy and the Homecoming game. I didn't go to either, but I am being dragged to the dance that starts at eight tonight.
I was going to take John, just has friends, because it would have been really funny to show up with him; however, the stupid Student Services person was a bitch and wouldn't give me a visitors pass for him. So, I'll be hanging out with Kalie and Heather.
Leah is taking Aiden because Richard couldn't go with her, and because Richards is also being a massive asshole. Chelsea (a friend from school) will be taking her girlfriend, so we finally get to meet her!

Oh, I know I said something about finally getting Breaking Dawn to read from Leah in my last post. Well, I finished that in under a week (would have been faster if I didn't have so much damn homework!) and it was insanely good! Anyone who hasn't read that series needs to be shot. xD

Well, that's all for now.

Nothing Much

So, the second week of school has past.
I did okay on some retard Geometry definition exam, but I still don't get the point of having to write out crap word for word. "If an angle is a right angle, then its degree measure is 90." Why can't I just fucking say that a right angle is ninety degrees? It's not that much different; its also easier to freaking remember. Blah.

I think I did good on my first Biology test. It was fairly easy, and I had studied a bit before the test, so I believe I'll get a good grade on it. :]

Lets see...French has been super fun. I love learning new language. xD I know my ABC's, numbers up to sixty-nine, how to ask how someone are you, how to ask how are you, what is your name, guess someones nationality or where they're from, and tell people my nationality, where I'm from, how I am and what my name is. =D I've also having a blast with the different ways to say hello or goodbye. (Yes I'm a nerd; live with it. xD)

English is a ton of writing, which is slightly annoying because she doesn't even collect the essays she assigns us. -twitch- But, I suppose it's kind of fun during class.

That's really about it for school, other than boring details. xD

I went to a meeting today. It's a People to People thing; they want me to go to Japan has an American High school Ambassador sometime at the end of this school year! I reaaallly want to go, even though it would cost around six grand. My mum and aunt want to work together to get me to go, so I'll be going to Japan! Huzzah! =D

Well, that's about it, other than I finally got Breaking Dawn from Leah! I shall start reading it tonight! =}

First Week

So, I'm done with my first week of Pre-IB high school and moving into the second week tomorrow.
It's not as fun has I had thought it would be; mainly because I'm not fond of my geometry teacher for two reasons:
1. She teaches geometry. It's hard for me to like anyone who teaches a subject I despise, and suck at. xD
2. She keeps giving us assignments and she hardly even explains what the hell you should do, if she explains it at all. She also told me that she eventually was going to totally stop explaining things to me after the first month of school. That's bullshit. A teacher is there to help explain things. If they don't explain what you don't get, then you are set up for failure. A teacher isn't supposed to let you fucking fail, which is basically what mine said to me.
So, geometry is totally ruining the Pre-IB program for me, even though my other classes are fun.

I like my English teacher so far; she's really nice, and really perky, which is good, since I have to wake up to her four out of five times a week. xD I'd rather not wake up to someone dull; I'd simply fall back asleep. x3
My science teacher is a freak! I love it. xD He's waayy too strict with class/homework, but he's pretty funny when he wants to be. His class room is kind of freaky, though. It's literally wallpapered with pictures that have his name on it and other drawings. Even the ceiling has pictures and posters on it. xD
French is awesome! I love French. :] My French teacher is really nice so far. I already know the entire French alphabet and most of the numbers for 1-20. I also know how say what my name is, ask for your name, ask how you are doing and say how I am doing, too.
PE is...well, PE. xD We haven't done much, really. But I like the sound of not being forced into doing sports. We also get to do off-campus PE activities. :]
Then there is geometry. -twitch-
After that, I have Computer Lit. I don't like having to re-learn to type in the "One Touch/ Home Row" position. I trained myself in a different way, so I can type faster. Now I have to go through lessons and do the one touch. It's annoying, but I'm doing it just fine. I can always revert back to my own way of typing out of school. =P
Other than that, we just have a lot of homework, really. Most of the time it's a lot of writing, but it's easy to do. xD

I don't believe I'll be joining any clubs or anything. I don't want anything getting in the way of my school work, to be honest. I want to focus on work, and then relax. I don't need to be on my toes running from club to class, to club after school things. xD Maybe I'll join a club next year, after I have the hang of my work and the school campus. :]

Well, other than that, I'm kind of sick. I got a sore throat, and a kind of upset stomach. I've been resting up this weekend, so I'm feeling better. I'm just reaallllyy tired. I've been in an Insomnia mode for the past week and a half. D= That does not help with school.

Well, that's all for now!

New Hair!

So, I got my hair cut and colored on Friday. It's black and red, with my natural brown looking like the actual streaks of color in it. XD I choose red in black because I wanted to do a ton of color. I would have done blue or purple or something with lots of color, but hardly anyone at Wooster knows that I am the hair-dye girl. xD I didn't want it to be too shocking; the last thing I need is to stand out anymore than I already do. x3
I love my hair color though, the red is really pretty, with the black accenting it just right. My hair cutter actually did the job correctly. It's exactly has I wanted, with a slight exception to the bangs. But, minor details aren't a problem. I love my hairstyle either way. :]

Hm, I went school shopping today. Unintentionally, I picked out a black and red messenger bag for my backpack. Then my mum told me that it matched my hair, and I was like, "Oh, it does!" xD So I got a black and red binder to go with the messenger bag, too. I like to color coordinate. Fashion and all of that doesn't phase me, and means very little to me. But the artist in me freaks out if I'm not color coordinated. Haha.

While we were out shopping, I realized how picky I am with mechanical pencils and binders. I never knew how many little details had to be just right, or I wouldn't buy the product. xD

I also saw Mr. Hunter while I was shopping today. Goddess, you never realize how much you miss last year's teacher until you see him shopping around in Office Max! XD We talked, and I warned him that I'd be haunting his class room whenever I could get over to SMS, and that Frances and I would be terrorizing his new animal care takers. He told me that he was expecting me to do so, and would be waiting. Lol

Other than that, today my parents and I went over to Darren and Jessica's condo. It's a neat little place. And I love Jessica's cat. Leah's new cat reminds me so much of Jessica's cat. xD
Anyway, the cooked dinner for us, and it was very good. I suppose it was nice to hang out with them again.
Dad and I left early, and that was an hour or two ago. Mum's still there; she'll probably stay over at their house for quite some time. Oh well.

Well, that's all for today. =D

Tuesday

Okay so on Tuesday (yesterday, the 19th) I went to my high school, and to the orthodontist.
I'm starting with the Orthodontist first, since it's less information than what I have to say about my high school. :]
The appointment only took five minutes, actually. Which was nice compared to the ten and longer appointments I am used to. You all know from my previous blog about my getting my braces off and my retainers on. I said in that blog that if I did well with my retainers, I'd be able to wear them only at night.
Well, apparently I did well! Bu-bye braces during the day! Now I don't have to worry about taking them off and loosing them in school. XD

Now for high school. =D
I'm in the Pre-IB program at Wooster, which basically means it's an elite program that will be fairly challenging program.
So, Leah, our mothers, and I all went down to the school at nine in the morning on Tuesday; we had to get our schedules and such since we hadn't been there for the orientation. The school is huge. xD We were running around from building to building, finding out classes and our lockers and such.
Here's my schedule for the first semester of school:

First period: Pre-IB Honors English
Second: Pre-IB Intg. Science
Third: Pre-IB French 1
Fourth: PE
Fifth: Pre-IB Fml Geometry 1
Sixth: Computer Lit.
And we have a thing called ELT sometime around ten, I think. It's basically and extra-learning thing, I think....? xD

For second semester I have Health instead of PE. And I have PE instead of Computer Lit.
I think all the Pre-IBs that are taking French have third period, but I'm not sure. So far, that's what it seems to me.

Well, that's all. =D

Oregon Trip!

So, after my depressing Wednesday, Leah spent the night on Thursday because I was taking her with us to Oregon. =D
We had fun just talking and running around at the park.
We had a Dianic (as close to my religion has it gets) Spell Ritual. It was basically a ritual to banish past and recent pains. You burn any notes that you've written about yourself, and any notes that will cause negative thoughts in the future. I burned all my notes, except for some in my notebook that I forgot about. I kept two songs that I had written about Rachel, though. The songs are really nice, and they don't have to be considered purely applied to her. They could be about anything, really. And I want to keep them. They're good memories of when I was really happy. =D

Okay, now for the Oregon Trip! We went to Newport, Oregon. It's a nine to ten hour drive, and Leah and I agreed that we'd go mutiny if we had to drive nine hours there and back. xD So, we decided to stop at Yreka, which was half way to Oregon, and stayed at a Best Western that my mum, sister and I stayed at last time we all went to Oregon two years ago.
Then we continued our drive all the way to Newport, which was five and half hours. We had a GPS, which my dad adores, and we named it The Slut. xD We got the idea because my uncle calls his GPS The Bitch. =]
So, my mum would not listen to the damn GPS, and got us lost quite a few times. In the end, I had to pretend to be the GPS and tell mum what to do so we could get back on track. x3
When we finally made it at the Embarcadoro (the resort we were staying at for the week) it was exactly has I remembered from the last time. :) The resort is right next to the ocean, and it had crab docks, which Leah and I went to nearly every night. It's so pretty when you're floating on a dock right by the sea. =D

So, this is what we did:

We went down the street to the shopping strip that was right next to the ocean. It was a really long line of stores on each side of the street, which meant we had to split the shopping into two days, or we wouldn't make it to all the stores. xD We ate at Mo's and I had Oyster Stew.
We also went across the big bridge to an Aquarium, which was pretty big. After we finished up with the Aquarium, we went shopping in a little villa-like area that had tons of interesting shops. Unfortunately, most of them were closing up by the time we got there, so we had to make another day to come back.
We went to an outdoor mall to go shopping some more, and had a lot of fun running around the stores being retards and trying things on. xD
We went back to the shopping strip by our resort, and Leah and I went to Ripley's Believe It Or Not museum-thing, the Wax Museum, and the Undersea Gardens (which was a big building with a gift shop on the ground floor. When you went down below, you were in a large room that had tons of windows so you could see what was ten feet under the water.)
All in all, we did a lot of looking, but not a whole lot of actual buying when we shopped. We bought what we liked, but most of the time we never really found something that we would actually wear/use. xD
In the end, I bought a little vest that looks good when worn over dark colors (haven't tried light colors yet); a necklace that has a little dagger hidden in it, for self defense; a Japanese Steel Shogen Fan, which is a form of a defense weapon, also (but I'm using it for decorative purposes right now); a glass calligraphy pen that was hand-made and some ink for it; and a few other little thing. =D

Well, that's all for now. I'll post later on about other things. =]

Depressing Wednesday

Okay, I have to do some major catch upping. xD

First of all, I'm going to talk about Wednesday, the sixth of August.
It was a majorly depressing day, to be honest.
First all, my parents are splitting up, and I had to talk with my dad again about in the afternoon (after I walked Hozer.) We also had to talk about my mum moving away, and who I'd be staying with and for how long. It was a long, highly depressing talk, and I'm just going to leave it at that. T_T
Another thing (this is both good and bad) is that Darren and his girlfriend are finally getting their own place! That means he won't be bugging me much anymore! Unfortunately, I learned on Wednesday that he was planning on taking my lizards away before school starts. My lizards are my babies. I don't want them to be taken away, but he doesn't a give a crap about how I feel, and plans on taking them anyway. My mum won't back me up on it either. -.-
Also, I have been tormented by Jeremy and his whining about his damn ex-girlfriend for the past month and a half. He's driving me crazy; if I have to hear about that sixteen year-old slut going out some thirty-two year-old creep one more time, I'm going to go insane. It's not the end of the world, Jeremy. You two never seemed serious about each other, and she's underage. You're too old for her; get a girlfriend your own age, please?
I know that sounds insensitive, but he won't listen to anything you say unless you are mean to him. Someone has to tell him the truth; and my mum loves him oh-so-much that she won't be mean to him.
Added to all of this, Rachel broke up with me. Something about us not seeing each other very often, I guess. We haven't fully talked about the reasons; I couldn't understand her because she was mumbling and talking really fast on the phone. I was also too upset to really care very much at the time. I cried a little, but then Leah called me (and I left Rachel on hold. I totally spaced that she was still on the phone while I was talking with Leah. xD) and I had to compose myself before answering. According to Leah, I can compose myself really quickly. I guess that's because I don't like to cry while talking to my friends. It makes me feel weak. Dx
Anyway, I'm doing better. I'm not so depressed, nor am I going to allow any of this shit bring me down any further. Eventually everything will sort itself out and return to normal for me. Rachel and I just need to talk about why she broke up with me, so I know the reasons for sure. I want to stay friends with her, just like I stayed friends with Sam.
So that was my depressing Wednesday. Wasn't that just a super fun day? =P
I'll write about my Oregon trip in my next post. That will be a happy post, because the trip was really fun. =D

Breaking Dawn!

Okay, so, for those of you who do not know about Breaking Dawn (you're insane if you haven't heard of it's release by now), it's the fourth book in the Twilight series (Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and the finale Breaking Dawn.)
Today at Barnes and Noble was the release party. It went from ten pm to about 1am. I went with Leah and we met up with Sam and Megan (old lead singer, and an awesome friend.) Might I add that it was extremely crowded? I'm okay with crowds, usually. But, even for a store that big, people swamped the place. xD I wore my corset-like top I got from Hot Topic. I remember thinking when I was putting it on: "Will I stand out in this? Not like a I care but..." Then I considered the fact that they were all Twilight fans and decided there would be lots of people dressing oddly and cosplaying, which was true. That only made the party even more cool.
Most of the time I hid in the manga section while Leah, Sam and Megan ran around. I made a new friend who will be going to the same school has Leah and I, and be in the same program, so that was cool. I talked with her about Yaoi mangas (she's definitely not a major-manga reader) and I'm not sure about her reaction. She didn't seem to like the idea of gayness, which is kind of a problem if she's going to hang out with us homo-friendly at school. xD

Anyway, while she and I were in line getting our face painted, Leah and the others ran over to play pictionary. I should have joined them; I kick ass a pictionary most of the time. xD They eventually quit the game, though, and joined us in the line. I got Rosalie painted on my cheek, with a rose underneath it. Leah got Jasper and a heart, Sam got Alice and a heart, and Megan got Jacob with a heart too. =D

We went upstairs for a bit after that, and hung around in the manga section. Then the book release happened. We got stuck going down the escalator because the bottom of it was crowded with people. It was pretty scary being tripped off the escalator and sent flying into a crowd filled with people. They actually had to stop the escalator for a bit so they could clear a path. xD
Once they started releasing the books, I left Sam and Leah. A crowd filled with around a thousand people screaming and jumping around
I found Loveless (a yaoi-ish manga series) and read that until the crowds cleared and it was safe to go back down to Leah and Sam. xD isn't for me; not unless it's a concert. Haha

Oh-another thing about tonight. I was really smart and had a Starbucks coffee at like one in the morning while waiting for everyone to get their books. Normally it takes six to eight hours for caffeine or sugar to kick it, but I'm realllyy hyper now. xD

For those that missed it, I'm sorry. It wasn't super special, if you ask me, but it was fun.

Let's see, other than that, the only thing that happened today was my dad being a dork. A cool dork, but he's still a dork. xD
He was playing on Ebay, ordering some cell phone for my sister. Every time he out-bidded something he acted all Kon-fu mastery. It was hilarious, especially when he'd go running to the computer to see if he was out-bidded again. xD I love how funny he is; he's such a cool dad.
He also didn't like the idea of me out being so late (even though I'd be a in a safe, very crowded place), so he taught me some judo/karate, whatever the hell he's a black belt in, moves for defense. It was fun learning, even though he got serious and one point when he was teaching me about knocking a knife out someones hand. When he did the move on me, he did it a little too hard by accident. My wrist hurt for a tiny bit after that. x3 Oh well, now I have some new defense moves to practice. =D

That's all for now. :]

Goodbye braces!

First, earlier this week I went to the art store and got some canvases (Mrs. Steiner, an art teacher and a friend of mine from middle school, has gotten me into painting) and a new calligraphy pen and new nibs. For those who don't know, I use the handle calligraphy pens that you insert the nib into and dip in ink. (Nibs are metal things that are what you dip into the ink and write with.) So, no, I do not use the type of calligraphy pens that already have replaceable ink tubes inside them. I don't like those; for some reason I find the less real. -shrugs-

The day finally has come (and gone!) I got my braces taken off yesterday (Monday the 14th), and boy does it feel really weird. I can actually feel-and see- my teeth and gums again.
I can't believe you can take the brackets off so easily. All they did was use some weird plier tool and they pulled each bracket off one by one, without even removing my wires. The only painful part was when the girl took my bands off (I had metal bands around two of my back teeth that had been used to support a mouse trap-thing I used to have). Apparently whoever had put my braces on had used a lot of the glue/cement stuff. I thought my tooth was going to get ripped out with the band. xD
But now I have straight, white teeth! Yaayy! The only thing I have to do now is wear my clear retainer-things. (They're the kind that are molded to fit around your teeth, like the fake vampire teeth that glow in the dark and you wear on Halloween. =D) I have to wear them all the time, with the exception of eating and brushing my teeth, for the next month. If all goes well, I'll only have to wear them at night. All should go well. These things are already driving me crazy with their smooth-fake teeth plasticyness. xD
Other than that, we had miracle weather today. It started out sunny, then went rain, then went sunny, then rain again, then hail, and sun with lots of humidity, then rain again, and finally the sun stayed out. xD Nevada's weather is bi-polar or something, I swear. It's completely normal to have all four seasons in one day here.
So, I got totally drenched when I walking Hoser (the dog I get paid to walk). Most of the time the rain drops were quarter-sized, and the came down fast! When the hail came, we had to hide under the pavilion at the park- dime sized pieces of ice hurt like hell. px But I'm glad we got a break from all the smoke. Even if the rain water was incredible dirty with all the soot it brought down from the air. I really hope that the rain made it to California and helped with the fires. That would be great.
An interesting fact for you readers. Did you know Nevada means Snow in Spanish?
The only other big thing that happened was that I had to go to Jeremy's (another one of my sister exes) after my orthodontist appointment. We went to the Petco and got a Snowflake eel- who is incredible aggressive, but beautiful- and took him back to Jeremy's apartment and put it in the tank. I then helped Jeremy put algae in his tank (salt water tanks need algae, while fresh water tanks generally shouldn't have it). That damn eel was hissing and snapping at me the whole freaking time. He's already territorial. Hopefully he'll get less shy and come out more when he gets older. I'm in charge of naming him, but I haven't decided on what would fit him yet. I'll tell you in a later post when I have decided.

That's all for now! I'm going to go play with my new calligraphy pens! xD

Smokeeee

So, there are over eight hundred fires in California right now (actually, it's pretty much a thousand, really.) Of course, Nevada gets all the freaking smoke; and since we are such a large basin, the smoke come over, and just stays unless a strong rid blows long enough to push it on to Utah or something.

It's disgusting. I hate smoke, my lungs can't handle being exposed to any form of smoke for very long. (Fire smoke or cigarette smoke, it doesn't matter. Both suck, although Cigarette smoke has more of an effect on me.) My guess why I'm so weak when it comes to smoke is because of how sensitive my nose it, and also because of some after effect from sixth grade (I was sick with who knows from Halloween to pretty much the end of the school year, I missed eight months of school and still ended up with the top twelve of my class and graduating. I had to go through many things- from X-rays to Cat scans to blood draws to having a camera shoved in me- and no one every figured out what was wrong.) I'd choose to stay inside, but I get paid to walk a dog named Hoser. That means I'm out in the smoke for an hour or more. That's not good for me-or anyone, might I add. =/
So, since smoke has such a strong effect on me, I have to wear a damn mask- like the kinds doctors wear- so I don't inhale it. It's too freaking hot to wear the mask, but I have no choice anymore. There are three stages that are declared when it comes to fires:
Stage one- Cautionary, not advised to be out for long periods in the smoke, but not exactly hazardous. This is what we've been in for the past few weeks.

Stage two- This is when it's considered extremely unhealthy to be outside in the smoke, and you are advised to stay out of the smoke if you can. Yesterday (the tenth) we were declared in a stage two. We should have been put into stage two on the ninth, since it was far worse then, but oh well.

And stage three- Which you could pretty much considered a lock down. All doors and windows and any other access to outside must be closed tightly. You are not to go outside unless it's for some form of an emergency (the need for food, or actual hospital emergencies and such.) It's said that if we stay like this for much longer, then we are going to go into a stage three.

Here are some pictures that prove how hazy it is, and has been, here:

Just look at the sky. ^

^ A house through the haze. This is on a hill not too far away from my house.

And, of course, I had to include a picture of me in my mask =D

Strangely, I like this picture. xD I think it shall be my new profile picture for now! Haha

Catching up

Whew, time to play catch up, again. xD I don't know why I keep forgetting to post blogs.
Okay, starting with last week. My grandma and her boyfriend, Chuck, are driving all over the place in their RV, so they decided to pay us a visit since they were passing through from Oregon. (No idea why they went from Arizona to Oregon, then to Nevada, but oh well.) It was nice seeing them again.

^ My mum and dad in the background with my Grandma and Chuck in their chairs in front.

They were with us on Fourth of July, and we went down the the Catholic Church (Yes, the big one with the people in it that I have a high dislike for...xD) because it has a great view of the fireworks there. Before they totally destroyed the wildlife there to build the church, it had been a home to many creatures, and a place my friends and I went to for the fireworks. So, just because there is a church there now, that doesn't mean I'm willing to give up a damn great spot for watching the fireworks shoot off from the Nugget. Haha. I got a lot of good pictures using the camera I got for my birthday (That thing has some unbelievable settings- Like a setting for take pictures of landscape during the day, and one for night. Or for taking normal pictures for day or night, or one specifically for flowers or fireworks, etc etc.). Here are a few of my favorite ones:

^ If you look closely in the one above, you can see that the ring has a smile face in it. =D

^ Lots of bright, blindingly beautiful colors in this one! ^_^

^ This one is subtle, but has it's own awesome beauty to it. I love how the lights are hitting at the same height and are crackling so much. I think it's a reminder that everything has some form of a beauty, whether it's extravagant or not. :)
I got tons of other pictures, but that's all I'll put up. ^-^

Let's see... I had to go out to eat with my mum, Dad, Grandma, and Chuck. Has well as Darren, Jessica and Darren's parents. It was okay. I really don't like eating out in large groups where I'm the only young person there, but someone has to be the mature person. (Everybody there drank some form of alcohol, and Darren and his father were obviously drunk by the time my part of the group got there.)

Have I told you about Darren? No, I don't think I have... To put it simply, Darren was a runaway has a young child because his parents, who are actually fairly nice, supposedly hated him or something. He must have done something to make it thus. Anyway, my "cousin" (has she used to try to convince me she was, when she was just my sister's best friend) Britany, was the one who find him and bring him to us, if I remember right. Then Megan and Darren got together, so he lived with us. But whatever he did when he was younger caught up to him and he had to go to jail for a year. That was when Darren and I were really close, I still have letters he wrote to me, actually; it's kind of like proof of how nice he used to be.
He's been to jail one or two more times since then, and has gotten into a lot of trouble. One thing led to another and he always came back and lived with us for a year or two before finding his own place again. Now he is dating Jessica, so he lives with her and her family now.
Though, Darren and Jessica think they need more room, so they are moving to a condo that's between Jessica and my house. They'll be taking my lizards, too. -silently fumes- I payed for the lizards- which were around sixty bucks each- and he payed for the three hundred dollar tank and whatever he decided to put in it. Now he thinks he can just whisk them away? Last time I let him take my lizards, he killed one, then went to jail left the remaining one in the care of a friend who broke its jaw and put it in the freezer to "put it out of it's misery." Who the fucking hell is actually stupid enough to put a live lizard in a freaking freezer? You've got to be kidding me.

Anyway, that's all for this blog. xD Sorry for making you read so much.

Books!

Guess what? Yes, that's right! I have found another new book! (And I gotta stop eating sugary foods at Six pm, because they'll finally effect me six to seven hours later, at twelve or later in the morning!)

Marked, by P.C Cast + Kristin Cast.
Okay, Marked is the first book in the totally awesome House Of Night series! (Which I've read the first two books in the a week and a half. Not to mention that I'm almost done with the third book in less than a day or so... ^^' )
Marked, being the first book of a spectacular vampyre series, tells about how Zoey, our lovely heroine, is first Marked- which, literally, means marked. A vampyre fledgling is marked by an adult Tracker vampyre with the Crescent moon of the Goddess Nyx, smack in the middle of their forehead. Being marked means Zoey has to move out of her old home, and into the House of Night. There she spends her first four years turning from a fledgling into and actual vampyre- well, that's if she doesn't die at some point during the change into and adult vampyre.
Zoey isn't any run-of-the-mill fledgling, though. The Goddess Nyx choose her and grants her great powers. Along with those powers comes bloodlust and the ability to Imprint with humans easily; that's not something any average newbie fledgling can do, nor are they fun things to have.
Her main adventure in this book is to stop the leader of the Dark Daughters and Sons- a special, elite school group- from further misusing her powers and endangering the fledglings in the Dark Daughters and Sons, as well has Zoey's "Almost ex-boyfriend" Heath.
So, if you liked wicked cool Vampyre books, with plot lines and none of that corner crap about vampires not being able to eat garlic, or can't go out in the sun (they can, it just isn't the best idea), then this is the book for you!
If you liked Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse, I'm fairly sure you'd enjoy this series, too.
That's all for today!

Catching Up

Sorry I haven't blogged in awhile, nothing has been happening lately, really.

Let's see. Rachel came over and spent the night on Thursday last week (the 26th). I didn't tell her, but the 26th was our four-month anniversary! xD Four months, and moving speedily really. But I'm not going to go into the details of that.

Before that, on Tuesday (the 24th) Leah and I hung out later in the day and she spent the night. She hung out with Mr. Boyfriend (Richard) all day, and was up at the park at seven when I went up with my ferret, Sunder (her nickname is Sunny; I'll have to post pictures of soon.) My mum had been bitching about tons of crap, and my dad just disappeared for awhile, so I retreated to the park and found Leah. xD
It's was freaking smokey. There's a big fire in Cali right now, and the smoke was carried over by the wind.
So, Leah came home with me to drop of Sunny off, then we went down to the church (we have a giant freaking Catholic church right next to our neighborhood. Leah and I love hanging out in the back because it's all rocky, and it's quiet. The church itself of fucking stupid and need to be burned because of how prejudice the Catholics that go there are. That's just my opinion though. ^-^ Sorry if I offended anybody, I'm not attacking the religion; but the people that go to that church are seriously stuck up.)
We took a lot of pictures of scenery and stuff, which I have yet to crop, sharpen, and edit in general. I'll come back and edit this blog to put a picture or two in. ^-^
Leah then spent the night, and we stayed up talking about our significant others.

That's about everything, unless I talk about family problems. I'm not in the mood for that, though.

Sorry if my random babbling totally lost you. xD My next blog will be a book review, I believe. So you don't have to fear me off-tracking and burning your train of thought again anytime soon... Haha =D

Friday Night

Okay, now I'm going to talk about the night of Friday (the 13th).

Once all but Leah, Kalie, Rachel and Sam (who were all spending the night) had finally gone home, our little group travelled up to the park in my neighborhood with my Tarot cards, Rune Stones, and Ouija board; also a candle, not only because it was dark, but helps get people in the "spiritual mood."
For those who don't know, I'm a highly spiritual person, so this kind of thing is normal for me. xD
Anyway, I started out reading Tarot cards for everyone. It was funny how everyone reacted to how accurate the readings were. Tarot cards aren't just fake things where you can always apply a card to something; each card has a specific meaning.
After that, we broke out the Ouija board. Ouija boards are called talking boards because they contact spirits that speak to you through the letters and words on the board. You always have to have a partner; at least, that is what I have come to believe. If you use only one person, that one person is left open for any form of an attack. Two people using the board generally helps block attacks because you have two combined, and usually weak and inexperienced, spiritual powers working has a shield.
So, we started out by asking questions that the spirits could answer with yes or no. (Like, does this person love me and other questions like that.) Then, Sam and I made further contact with a spirit. It was German, judging by the fake name it gave us. Although, it may have just been fucking with our minds. When Sam and I asked if the spirit meant us harm, it said yes. Of course, we freaked out and moved away. Breaking contact with the board doesn't always mean breaking contact with the spirit, but I'm fairly certain we broke away from the spirit, too.
Kalie and Leah went next and contacted a new spirit. Eventually, the spirit told us it name was Gab. We also learned that Gab was 18, and died by her own hand (suicide.) She came to us simply looking conversation and friends. We learned later on that Gab is also Kalie's guardian. We talked with her and got to know her more; she's a really awesome guardian. We hope to be able to contact her again.

So, we had to go back to my house because my mum didn't like us being at the park speaking to spirits at twelve in the morning. ^^; So, we went back and did more readings. I, having trained my spiritual senses and having a strong spiritual power, sensed something was wrong. I couldn't put my finger on it until we decided to go inside. I went to go retrieve a sweater (we had placed over the out door lights so we could be in only candle and moon light) and found out why I was so uneasy. It turned out a spirit was out there. It wasn't any run-of-the-mill spirit, either. It held extreme malice towards one of us and was probably going to attack. The first person it would attack would have been me; spirits attack those who have the highest spiritual strength first. I'm to entirely sure why it's like this, but I think it has to do with the fact that spiritual power draws on their own power or something. They go after the strongest person to get rid of them, then they go after the second strongest and so on.
Anyway, I went rushing back into my little courtyard and told everyone to get inside immediately. If I was going to be in danger, no else needed to be in danger has well.
Well, I'm not saying anymore about the spirit or anything; only that it comes around a lot and is dangerous.
That's all about spirits. Now it is time for Saturday between three and six in the morning. xD

So, we all piled into my dad's room (it's the biggest room, so we kicked him out so we could all sleep together) and went to sleep around three. Sam, Rachel and I were on the bed, Kalie and Leah were on the ground. I was still worried about the spirit, and kept getting up and going downstairs to check things out. I simply couldn't fall asleep. When I finally crawled back in bed (which was hard, since I was in the middle) I found that Rachel was also awake. She kept me up until six in the freaking morning trying to figure out what my first Tarot question and other random stuff. We had fun being retards though. We also had our first make out...at five in the morning. -twitch-
FYI- Rachel and I are going out; we have been since February 26. Sam and I had been going out for over a year before we broke up and Rachel went out a few days later. Leah and Rachel had recently broken up, after having over half a year long relationship.

Sam went out with John on the 25th, Rachel and I got together on the 26th, and Leah and Richard got together on the 27th. Pretty weird how it was all in a row. Anyway, yes I am Bi...or Lesbian. I'm not entirely sure. I haven't liked a guy since fourth or fifth grade. =) My and Rachel's parents do not know we are going out, and we're going to wait for a time when we can tell them on our own.

Well, I'll stop typing now. This was one long-ass blog. xD I wonder who will actually read it all?

Friday!

Okay, this blog is on this past Friday (The 13th!). This one is going to cover my party. My next blog will talk about Friday after ten/Saturday.

Okay, so the party was for my birthday, which was on Tuesday.
Before the party, Leah and Kalie came over to help me decorate. They weren't the largest of help after a little bit; they got distracted on inhaling the helium. Once I got them to get out of my way, they were amusing on the side while I continued to work. The funniest part was when Kalie inhaled the helium and said "Hiii.... I'm Kalie! Destroyer of worlds!" I was about to die laughing. I got a video of it; too bad the damn video doesn't have sound, which was the whole point. xD

I invited twelve people; and all showed up. Two people were late, but that's better than them not showing up at all!
Anyway, once we got everyone settled, Leah, Kalie, Ivy, Brittany and I all attempted to teach the people how to play Bunco (see Birthday! blog). By the Goddess, that was the hardest thing to do. xD Everyone kept asking for repeats. If the people would have settled down and actually listened, I'm sure we could have gotten through it much faster. But, I don't blame them. It was a party, and everyone pretty much knew each other.
We played bunco, and everyone caught on and understood the game fully. It's always easier when you have the people watch and play along. It makes explaining a bit easier.
After that we ate pizza and got dressed to go outside and swim in my pool! Have you ever had twelve people trying to change into swimsuits all at the same time? It's dangerous. xD Everyone was fighting over the bathrooms and bedrooms. Eventually we got everyone out and into the pool, though. xD
We played Marco Polo (with twelve people in an eight-foot pool, that was interesting. =P), and then just swam around and did our own things. John, being an idiot, didn't swim around much. The pool was heated, but the air was windy; thus was it cold to the wet body. Once he was in and wet, he just stood there shivering. I had to chase him around to keep him moving.
If I thought people changing into bathing suits was dangerous, you should have seen it when everyone went back inside to change again. That was scary. Cold, wet people fighting over bedrooms and bathrooms. You can bet I stayed out of the way. xD
Then we went downstairs, ate ice cream cake (since I don't like frosting) and opened presents. I got gift cards to Target, Barnes and Noble, Hot Topic, and Best buy. I also got some jewelry, a statue, cds, and a stuff animal.
I've used my Barnes and Noble card to get a cool series of books (I'll probably post about them later); I used my Hot Topic card to buy a corset-like top, and I used my Best Buy card to buy a new computer game. I'm not sure what I'll buy with my Target card; we'll see when I get taken over to Target later this week!
To summarize the day, it was amusing, chaotic, and really, really fun! ^_^
That's all on the party! I'll post about Friday night later.

Thursday!

Okay, from Thursday to Sunday was a really busy weekend.
I'll post a new blog for each event, otherwise you'll be reading one loooonnng blog!

So, starting at Thursday, June 12.
It wasn't that busy of a day, really. I went over to Sam's with Leah and we hung out and watched TV, waiting for Sam's boyfriend, John, to come over.
Let me tell you, it was a long, torturous wait. xD
Sam's little brother (Tyler) and sister (Sydney) have endless amounts of energy stored up. At least Sydney takes a break and settles down when you want her to. Tyler runs all over the house, screaming in his extremely high-pitched tones. I swear, if he was just one octave higher he could speak to freaking dolphins or something!
That boy is always running around; it's no surprise he runs into walls sometimes. I know that sounds mean, but you should see this kid.
So, I got realllyyy bored of just sitting around and doing nothing, and went to play hide-and-go-seek with the kids. It's amazing how you can play that game for hours in a house, and kids never get bored. Even if they run out of hiding places, they keep playing. It's really amusing. So, I hid and I sought. Apparently I'm the "hiding master" because whenever I play with the little kids, I find at least one good spot where the have to give up on finding me. That good spot? It's usually somewhere obvious and right out in the open. It's pretty funny.
So, by the time I was tired of hide-and-go-seek, John was there. We all sat around, talked, and waited until Sam's mum came home and took us out to eat pizza. Once we were inside, Tyler was flying over to the arcade. Damn, that kid was fast. xD I had to retrieve him a few times. I thought one of us was going to have to retrieve John, since he wanted to go on the little pony ride thing so badly. =D
All in all, Thursday was a good day; tiring, but good.
My next blog will be about Friday!

Birthday!

So, yesterday (the 10th) was my birthday. It started out not too great, because my mum and dad were fighting already, but otherwise it was a pretty good day.
My gifts were: a Japanese Zen Garden, from my mum and dad, Tarot Cards from my Aunt, a Japanese scent thing from my sister, a remote control boat-thing for my pool, and a new Kodak digital camera. (Yeah, the last two presents soo do not fit in with the other presents. xD)
I really love all of my presents. A few of them were pleasant surprises, while others were exactly what I wanted.

Leah and I hung out before we had to walk the dogs (I'll explain that later). We had fun just being retards an exploring/setting up my gifts.
When I came home, I helped Mum set up for her Bunco party. Bunco is a dice game with 3 rounds of six for a total of 18 rounds. Each round goes with a number on the dice. So, 1 would be four people at one table rolling dice and aiming for ones. There are three tables, the Head table, the Middle table, and the Lower table; four people sit at each table for a total of twelve people playing. If the head table gets a Bunco (when someone rolls all three dices and each one ends up being the number of that round-ie. the round is six, so someone rolls three sixes; that would be a bunco.) then that round is over, and the go to the next round.
So, I played Bunco in my mum's place, that way she could continue cooking, cleaning, and such. You wouldn't believe how many times I was asked what high school I was going to, how old I was, and all of that. It was hilarious, really.
At the end, of course, a group of the girls did what I had dreaded; they sang me happy birthday. =P It was nice, but embarrassing. The desert, that always comes after the bunco rounds and before the prizes, was an ice cream cake. ^-^
Charlene, my mum's boss, is one of the bunco ladies. She chose a rug for her prize, for she won the most non-buncos (those are when you roll a dice of all the same number, but the number isn't the one for the round- ie. the round is round five, and you roll three ones. That's a non-bunco.). The rug she chose had been one I liked, and in the end, she gave it to me has a birthday present, even though I could have gone out and gotten the rug if I had wanted. It was very nice of her. ^^
Of course, my mum had to ruin the nice evening by yelling at Dad when he came home. "What are you doing here?! I told you stay at the bowling alley, no one wants you here!" Dad kind of lives here too, you know, Mum. My father has every right to come back to his house, especially since it's his daughter's birthday. Dad didn't need to throw one of his semi-fits and throw a water bottle, though...
-shrug- Oh well. All in all, the day was a really good one!
Well, that's all. I'm tired and wish to go to bed.

Shot

Ohh, today sucked.
I had to go to my new doctor and get a shot; note I said new. I hated my old doctor, and finally had to transfer to my dad's doctor because she only accepted patients that had a "yearly good bill of health." I'm sooo happy I got away from my old doctor.
So, today I went with my dad, filled out a ton of paperwork, and then was sent to the little room in the back with him where my blood pressure and all that good stuff was taken care of. (By the way, you know the new freaky blood pressure things that actually tighten around your arm? Yeah, that scared the crap out of me. I'd never had one of those kind put on my arm. I'm used to the one where the doctor pumps it with the little squeezy-thing. Lol. xD) Then I had to sit in the room for over an hour, cooking with the agonizing notion that I was about to get a shot.
I hate doctors, and I hate other people with needles. I'm fine when either my friends or I are holding the needle, but freak out when someone else, especially a doctor, is holding any form of a needle.
An hour and forty-five minutes of waiting for one damn little poke with a needle? You've got to be kidding me. It didn't hurt at all...until the fluid was ejected into me; it hurt a bit then. I'm still a little sore now.
My dad wants to take me back to get some other series shot. I'll go mutiny on him if he even tries.
Well, I'm going to stop reliving the shot now. I'm done ranting about the shot for the day. =)

The Band!

Okay, so remember I mentioned that my friends had a band, and that I'd tell you about it later? Well, later is now!
Above: Rachel, Guitarist

Below: Leah, Bassist

Above: Ivy, Singer!

Below: Sam, Drummer!

These are all really close friends of mine, so you'll probably hear me refer to them a lot in my blogs. xD
Anyway, they created the band last year and went through a few singers before they found Ivy. Since then, Ivy has remained the singer, and probably will continue to be so for a long time to come.
Rachel is generally the person that holds the band together, since she knows how to play all the instruments and taught everyone how to play theirs.
Sam learned how to play the drums from Rachel, and still is. She's learning steadily, and doing a great job.
Leah also learned how to play her bass from Rachel. She is now learning a bit more from her boyfriend, Richard, and is getting better steadily with practice.
All together, they make the band they call Black Heart Tuesday. The name has changed multiple times, so there's no guarantee that is what they'll stick with. ^^;
They practice weekly and currently are working on their cover of Die Die My Darling, by Aiden, has well has I'm Not Okay, by My Chemical Romance. They also have other songs they are working on. I'll update in other blogs on what they are working on, and will probably post some videos that I'll record later on. The last band practice I went to was on Wednesday, since it was the last day of school and it was a half day. I did record some videos, but none of them were in good visual or sound quality. I'll have to be careful about that next time!

Books!

Okay, ready for the next review? Here it is!

Storm Thief by Chris Wooding:

I read this a few weeks ago, and I have to say I really liked it. It kept me interested throughout the book. For the most part, I wanted to continue reading and reading and- well, you get it.

Storm Thief takes place in a city of complete chaos, Orokos. It's constantly assaulted by probability storms that randomly re-arrange the world. It has stood for so long that history has forgotten it, and its citizens no longer question what else may exist outside Orokos. Everyone is to believe that in this world, Orokos is the only place there is. Then, two thieves, and one unlikely friend of theirs', discover a map that holds the key to the secret at the heart of Orokos. But many others want this very key, and are willing to do whatever they can to get their hands on it.

If you like adventure, fantasy, and a little dash of romance, then this is for you. I'm certain a lot of people will like this book.

Books!

Okay, I said I'd give some reviews of a few books every once in awhile, right? ( Remember, I don't guarantee you'll like the books I decide to review. =) )
Well here's one I finished reading( I read books really fast, so I probably will be posting a lot about books, if I remember to. ^^' ) :

The Priest of Blood by Douglas Clegg:

This is the first of three books in the Vampyricon series. It looked and sounded really interesting, so I decided to try it out. I have to be honest and say that I found the beginning incredibly boring. It just takes a little bit of time to get into it, I suppose; at least it did for me, and I love vampires/fantasy books. But once I got going, it was really interesting. I got through it before I realized it, which tends to happen a lot to me...
Anyway, this book is about a young man, named Aleric, (the Falconer), and his journey from being a poor boy, to a falconer at in the Baron's household; he story also speaks of his unrequited love for the Baron's daughter. When his love is found out, he is forcibly conscripted as a soldier and sent to the Holy Land to fight; unfortunately, he has lost all faith and conscience. He cares not for his life any longer.
Soon, he finds a new love. "She calls herself Pythia -- and in her passionate, bloody embrace, he also finds his destiny..."
I found it a truly good book, even if you had to try to keep yourself interested in some parts. You can find it in most libraries, if you'd like to take a look.

Day After

I'm so sad, and yet I'm really happy at the same time.
Today is the day after the last day of school. It feels so strange to not be getting up early in the morning and getting ready for another long, but interesting, day of school. I actually got up at six and was about to get ready for my imaginary school day when I realized I had around eleven or more weeks without school. When I went back to bed, it felt like I was skipping school. xD

These past two years in middle school were probably the best school years I have ever had. I met tons of great people like Rachel and Sam (two of my best friends from school) and got to go to school with older friends like Brittany (also on a blogger!) and Leah (Life-long best friend).
I have to say that eighth grade was the best school year, though. There were a ton of tough, sad times, but the happy times and my friends are what made it worth it. If I had the choice to rewind and relive the year, I probably would; especially if I could relive just after Valentine's Day up to now. I had all my friends, and we had so much fun. We were all super retarded at times, which made it all the more fun. We had sad times, and serious times, too. All in all, this school year was so great, I hated that it ended.
When good things end, some of the good has to continue. I know a lot of my friends will still be with me in high school, and I know I will stay in touch with those who aren't going to the same high school. It's just sad about those who won't be going to the same high school has me, because I won't be able to see them as much. There will be times where I'll have to go weeks, or months, without seeing one of those particular friends. But, it's good that I won't totally go without seeing them.

I'm particularly worried about Rachel; I won't get to see her much. I can't go to every band practice (My friends have their own band, I'll probably post about them tomorrow, or sometime really early in the morning if I'm still up) and see her. I wonder how our relationship will be over the summer; and how it will be throughout highschool? But I'm not going to really go into that right now.

The last period of the day was the most dismal. Our English teacher sang a very beautiful, stirring song that basically told us to have good lives and wished us well. Just when she finished singing, it was time for the enrichment video. The video was a slide show of a lot of the events that happened this year. Of course, the music on it was the Graduation Song, by Vitamin C. By the end of the day, and the video, over half the class was crying. That includes myself, unfortunately. I really hadn't expected to cry, but I did.

I'm happy that school is out, though. It's finally time to hang out, celebrate, and have has much fun as possible! My birthday is next week on Tuesday (June 10th), and I'm having a party on Friday the 13th. That will be fun. Of course, I'll blog about both days.

I'll stop being bi-polar and changing from feeling strange, to sad, to happy again. I hope I didn't make you depressed with this blog! Haha

First Blog!

Hey! So, I'm Karah/Duani/Gee/Gerard, whatever people want to call me, or know me by; and, yep, that's me above in the picture to the left.
I mainly started blogging because of my friend, and because it sounded like fun.
I'll probably talk about my family, my friends, things I like, and other stuff. Just whatever I feel like talking about at the time. I might give some ideas for mangas, books, and movies that I think other people might like; especially if it's one particle thing I found and loved a lot.
So, that's about it for my first blog! Thanks for reading.
